Frances Brandon is past-president of The California Garden Project, a nonprofit 501c3 corporation developing HORTUS CALIFORNICA, a sustainable world class botanical garden in the capital city area. She is retired from the state of California where she served as a special project administrator overseeing multi-million-dollar, statewide projects. She is a certified facilitator and mediator and has earned the multiple certificates in Management and Horticulture. She has also worked in a nursery, as a floral designer, and operated a decorating business focusing on weddings, events, and seasonal displays. Ms. Brandon is a Master Gardener and holds a license in landscape design and consulting. She is a lifelong gardener with an enthusiastic interest in sustainability, and plants and the multiple creatures that utilize and live among them. Over the years she has become a historian of gardens and has visited botanical and public gardens throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and parts of South America.
